Oahu Trip 2011 Page Six
Saturday we headed up to Kailua Bay and rented kayaks. All in all this was probably the best thing we did. We paddled out about a mile offshore to Moko Nui (North Mokolua). Also known as Gilligan's Island because the lagoon scenes from the show were filmed on the windward side of the island. Since we were barefoot, we didn't hike over the lava to it but I was assured it was there.
That lava does hurt your bare feet.
For those that know me this will come as no surprise. I ran into a total stranger on the beach here on the island who thought I looked thirsty so he gave me a beer. Go figure.
